Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
4. In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
5. Add in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
6. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
7. Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking dish and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
9. While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In the same skillet used to cook the chicken, add in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.
10. Remove the chicken from the oven and pour the sauce over the top.
11. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot.
