1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cut the green squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds to create a hollow center.

3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the diced red onion and cook until softened.

4. Add the drained and rinsed chickpeas to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Spoon the beef and chickpea mixture into the hollowed green squash halves, dividing it evenly between them.

6. Place the stuffed squash on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the squash is tender.
